What are Message templates?

By using saved templates, you can arrange your messaging related to the transaction more easily and efficiently. For each transaction, it is essential to provide basic information to your partner. Using this feature, you can create replies that can be inserted into the message with a single click to save time. This way, you don’t have to type in the basics that are required to almost any transaction.

As a seller, you can say thanks for the purchase, provide basic information to your partner, or inform the partner about the pickup location of the item, shipping information, or bank account number. As a buyer, you can add your shipping address as a template, because the seller will most probably need it, unless you have chosen to pick it up personally.

How can I create a new template?
On the Messages page, enter a transactional conversation, then type in the message which you would like to use as a template, then click on the Template icon. At the bottom of the window that appears, enter a name to the template, then click on the Add button. Use a name that makes it easy to identify the message.

How can I load the template into the text field?
Click on the Template icon, then select the reply you would like to load.
Important: The selected template overwrites the content of the text field. If you would like to add something to an existing template or adjust it to the transaction, first load the reply, then edit the content of the message.

How can I delete a template?
Click on the Template icon, then click on the delete icon located next to the template you want to delete.
