Why can’t I simply call the user or email them?

Users can only specify the details of the shipping of and payment for the item after the successful purchase through the system of Galeria Savaria. It is understandable that the seller and the buyer wants to communicate with each other before the purchase, as question may arise regarding the item or, when purchasing it, the shipping or the payment. This is why we have created the safe messaging system of Galeria Savaria that allows users to discuss the most important details before the purchase, and the sellers - in addition to their possibility of editing the item - can attach further photos if the buyer asks for a more detailed description of the item.

According to the policies of Galeria Savaria, communication must be carried out via the system of Galeria Savaria; this way, users can protect both their own data and security and comply with the rules of Galeria Savaria. Once the purchase takes place, i.e. by clicking on the Buy it now button on the item page, the buyer has purchased the item in compliance with the rules of Galeria Savaria - or if the acceptance of the offer has taken place through the offer management feature (Make an offer button) of Galeria Savaria - and the partners can start a so-called transactional conversation, where they can discuss the details of the shipping of and payment for the item purchased. A transactional conversation is an exchange of messages conducted between the seller and buyer concerning an item purchased.

Here you can provide data that is only possible only if the conversation is about the item purchased.

If you find it necessary, you can ask for further contact details of the partner (name, email address, phone number) after the purchase. You can do this on the Purchased items page, by clicking on the More actions drop-down menu. However, we recommend to discuss the details of the transaction after the purchase through the safe messaging system of Galeria Savaria. Thus, you will not only find the transaction-related messages in one place, but you can also ask for the assistance of our customer support if you encounter any difficulties during the transaction.
