Inactivating a user account

We are committed to ensuring that Galeria Savaria can be a secure marketplace, so we pay special attention to filtering out users who do not use our online marketplace in accordance with the policies and guidelines.

If there is a problem with a seller or buyer, we may take into account the user's past activity on our site, which may influence our decision to take prohibitive or restrictive action on their account. For example, it may be an indication to us if members of our community have reported multiple problems with a user or if the user's transactions, regardless of the given feedback, have been difficult or problematic, resulting in a poor customer or seller experience.

We avoid double standards. Our decision is not affected by the number of successful transactions the customer has conducted at our online marketplace. If you severely violate our rules, your user account will be restricted in the same way as any other account at our marketplace would be restricted for the same violation.

We reserve the right to make the best decision to solve a problematic case at our own discretion, based on our experience and taking into account the interests of our community.

If a user account becomes restricted:

  • the restriction also applies to other user accounts that can be linked to the user
  • no new registration can be started, as our system detects connection with the restricted name in such cases

Our system considers more aspects when linking an additional user account to a user. We do not disclose information on the details of this in order to protect our online marketplace and our community.

No new account can be created by a user who has a banned account. This will be regarded as an attempt to bypass the restriction and manipulating the operation of our website. This is detected by our system and results in a temporary limitation becoming permanent.

If we decide to inactivate a user account, we do it to protect our community. Galeria Savaria can be a high-quality marketplace if we are consistent with the compliance with rules.

We ask our users to comply with some basic, self-evident rules to prevent the inactivation of their accounts:

  • be respectful to other users and remember that there are real people behind the usernames
  • you should not have any unpaid invoices as a seller
  • as a seller, do not list any item that does not comply with our rules and policies
  • if, in case of a transaction, you encounter any difficulties with your partner, be flexible and try to resolve the situation in cooperation with the partner
  • do not try to make a deal by outmaneuvering our online marketplace and do not participate in attempts to circumvent the obligation to pay a commission
