Transactions failed because of the seller

By selling their items at Galeria Savaria, a seller does not only represent themselves, but also Galeria Savaria. The buyers consider Galeria Savaria equal to the service provided by the seller. Therefore, we consider it important to ensure that sellers do business to maximize customers’ satisfaction. More information about the rating system

We would like to provide a surface for purchases and sales to our community that the users like and where they can enjoy doing business. For this, the seller must understand that the importance of a customer-friendly approach is essential to be a seller of Galeria Savaria.

Below we have collected what you as a seller should do to avoid the failure of a transaction due to your fault.

The item was sold elsewhere

Sometimes a seller promotes or lists their items on multiple websites, but this may not hurt Galeria Savaria's reputation for their buyers. If buyers find "forgotten" listings or they don't receive the item they buy, that reflects negatively on Galeria Savaria and the seller's community in general.

It is annoying, if the buyer purchases the item they are looking for, but it turns out that it has already been sold elsewhere. After that, the seller may become unreliable in the eyes of the buyer. This does not only show the seller but also Galeria Savaria in bad light.

Therefore, as a seller of Galeria Savaria, we ask you to:

  • Only list items you can hand over when bought
  • If you've sold your item elsewhere, delete your listing from Galeria Savaria

As an online marketplace, our goal is to help our sellers and buyers to buy and sell as many items as possible. If it turns out at a successful purchase that the item has already been sold elsewhere, and the seller is not able to hand over the item, customers get disappointed in our entire online marketplace. This leads to buyers having objections when buying on Galeria Savaria.

It is important for us to deliver high-quality service to our customers. We don't want Galeria Savaria to become a poor quality marketplace where many listings are outdated.

According to our policies, if a seller is unable to hand over the item upon a purchase, the transaction is considered as failed because of the seller. The seller can’t refer to the statement in the description that they are advertising the item somewhere else.

The item is damaged, broken, lost or not as described

Although rarely, it may happen that an item gets damaged during packaging, or its defect becomes revealed only subsequently, or the item gets lost.

The above apply to this case as well. It is frustrating if the buyer cannot receive the item purchased.

Therefore, as a seller of Galeria Savaria, we ask you to:

  • before listing your item, review it carefully and make sure it does not have any hidden defects
  • be thorough when describing the item, so you can avoid unpleasant situations where the item turns out not to be as advertised
  • if the item gets damaged or lost after the sale, try to close the transaction with positive feedback despite this fact (provide a replacement item or a discount for another item, etc.)

When leaving feedback for a failed transaction, the user must indicate the reason for the failure. If you as a seller are unable to fulfill the conditions of the transaction, during the feedback, our system will log the transaction as failed due to the seller’s fault.

By logging, we record a mark of a failed transaction on the seller’s profile page, and based on the cause of the failure, we assign the score of a failed transaction to their account.
As this feedback is public for everyone, your potential buyers will also see it on your profile page

If, according to the interpretation of our rating system, within a specific period, transactions have failed several times due to a seller - particularly in case of transactions of higher value -, or if the score of the user received due to their failed transactions exceeds the threshold, we will limit their account, which will not allow new registrations either.

We're sorry if we have to say goodbye to a seller. However, as an online marketplace, our goal is to help our sellers and buyers to as many successful transactions as possible. Therefore, we support and help those who sell their items with a buyer-friendly approach. If a seller is unable to identify with the approaches and guidelines of Galeria Savaria, unfortunately, we will not be able to provide the services of our website to them.
